Seeing is Believing - A Gospel Play

So as you may already know I never know where I'll end up from day to day with this camera. On Saturday March 24, 2012 I found myself at the MLK Center in Long Beach, NY. I was invited by  my brother, James Hodge. So once the play started the first thing I noticed was the set. It was quite impressive for a local play and not having a hefty ticket price. Not wanting to compare anyone to Tyler Perry but I'm going there. Everyone in this cast  that sang could sing as well as act if you you've been to as many community plays as I you know it's not always the case. There was plenty of local talent in the cast, our young folks need a venue  like this to showcase their gifts. You may recognize some of these names: Tekorah Page, Akilah Thompson, Lakisha Baum, Joshua Reese, Otis Becoat, and Deborah Anita Snowden the very capable Praise Dancer. I would say this if you hear about this play coming near you get your tickets it will be money well spent. One more thing the playwright/director is named Antenia Simmons I'm sure you'll be hearing the name again.. Peace until the next blog...
