The Last Friday before school @ Kennedy Park Hempstead N.Y.
So tonight the children from Everton Bailey's Trumpet Academy performed their showcase and demonstrated to the audience what they have been learning the last 7 weeks. What started with 3 students grew to 8 students and because the adults that joined all dropped out, ended up with 5 students all under 13. For the last 7 weeks the young musicians practiced, learned theory, different styles and performance tips. They also were accompanied on Guitar by a Berklee Music College student whose name is Franklin Rankin . On a weekly basis professional musicians also came in and gave instruction and tips to the students. It was a great experience for the student musicians. They received certificate from Nassau County's County Executive and an acknowledgement from the village Mayor's office
